Job overview
An opportunity has arisen in the Community Learning Disability Team based in Cavendish House in Hastings. We are looking to recruit a bank worker, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.
The post is to provide administrative support to the Multi-disciplinary team and service. The post holder will be highly organised and will need to provide an accurate and timely administrative service to the Learning Disability service.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate a high level of expertise in typing and keyboard skills which would include knowledge and understanding of Microsoft packages, have an excellent telephone/ communication manner and an understanding of confidentiality. They must be able to work well independently, manage changing demands and priorities and also be able to work effectively as part of a team.
The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills for interacting with service users, carers, and health and social care professionals. We are seeking an individual who demonstrates initiative, embodies strong values, and prioritises a person centred approach.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administrative services to the team. To liaise with other departments and services and to respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users, referrers and other agencies. To consistently deliver a client focussed service, which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.
The post holder is responsible for carrying out general administrative duties; work within set routines, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the service, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries. Relevant experience working within an administration team is essential.

The main responsibilities of this role include providing secretarial and administrative support to the team, as well as collaborating with other departments and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders. The focus should be on delivering customer-centric service and fostering positive relationships.
The individual in this position will be in charge of general administrative tasks, following established procedures to ensure a high-quality service. Experience in administration is a must-have for this role.
Key skills required for this role are prioritisation, time management, IT proficiency, secretarial skills, and strong communication and organisational abilities.
