- Band 6 - £35,392 - £42,618 per annum
The Quality Improvement (QI) Facilitator will provide leadership and support in delivery of projects for the Quality Improvement team. The post holder will be instrumental in driving the Trust’s continuous improvement approach, which is our systematic methodology to solve problems, improve service provision, and provide better outcomes for staff and patients across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
- Contribute to the philosophy of continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Ensure that the concept of quality, Quality Improvement (QI) and our Continuous Improvement approach is clearly articulated and understood.
- Directly assist operational unit and corporate staff in building continuous improvement capacity to drive improvement aligned with the organisational strategy.
- Leadership and support of QI projects, ensuring that projects follow the DMAIC process, are closely monitored, on track with identified schedules / actions and reported on with any risks identified and escalated as appropriate.
- Utilise data to understand how capable processes are in delivering their aims and objectives and use this to drive improvement or support decision making.
- Understand current practice, processes, and tools through measurement (including user experience) to help us to organise and prioritise improvement efforts effectively.
- Utilise digital tools, methods and approaches to drive innovation and balance human centred design and our analytical approaches.
- Support and guide colleagues to utilise the DMAIC process and other QI tools effectively.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will work with many internal and external stakeholders ensuring that improvement occurs in a positive and sustained way. The post holder will work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of the organisations acting as a QI subject matter expert.

- • Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- • Knowledge & experience of using Quality improvement methodology and tools
- • Experience of facilitating small and large groups
- • Experience of both internal and external stakeholder engagement including patient engagement and experience
- • Experience of using data to drive improvement and inform decision making
Desirable criteria
- • Project Management Qualification
- • Experience of using QI tools in practice
