We are delighted to recruit to a Consultant Grade Psychiatrist as part of Core 24 Service in the Black country.  Applications are invited for a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to lead services in the acute Hospital in Sandwell.  This vacancy has arisen as the result of service development in keeping with the Core24 requirement.

Main duties of the job

The post is for Consultant Psychiatrists in age independent acute Liaison Psychiatry to cover the acute hospital.   The post holder will lead liaison mental health services by working closely with the service manager and a multi-disciplinary team comprising predominantly of nurses, speciality doctor, and psychologist.  The post holder will join the peer group of Consultants providing comprehensive mental health services as part of Community Mental Health Teams in each locality. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled clinician who will lead the MDT and who will take keen interest in teaching, training and service development. The post holder will work full time to a 10 PA Job Plan.
