We are looking for a highly experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist, with a varied background in Physiotherapy modalities; these include: musculoskeletal, neurological, basic respiratory skills, postural management, rehabilitation, etc. to join our skilled and friendly specialist Physiotherapy team.

Main duties of the job

Improving physical health for people who have a Learning Disability in the local community and clinical settings.

You will carry a specialist clinical caseload, delivering highly skilled Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to adults who have a Learning Disability and complex physical and neurological problems.

You will be based in a “single point of access” L.D. therapy team collaborating closely with other health professional peers.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will join a  “single point of access” L.D. therapy team as part of the community service for people with Learning Disabilities collaborating closely with other health professional peers; such as Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Psychologists and Medics.

The candidate will be required to have a full driving licence and access for a car for employment, due to the community aspect of service provision.

Full right to work within the UK as a Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.

Membership of relevant Professional Networks area also encouraged.

HCPC Registration

Essential criteria
  • Current HCPC Registration to work as a Physiotherapist within the UK
  • Ability to move equipment between appointments in the community
  • Current UK Visa for UK working
  • UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work use
Desirable criteria
  • Significant Physiotherapy experience with LD or transferable skills
