Band 7 Team Leader – Crisis and Home treatment team 

To be based in Nuneaton 

1.0 x WTE, Full time – permanent vacancy

- To provide a Crisis and home treatment service, delivering training, consultation and advice for professionals working with children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire. 

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operational management and leadership of the Crisis and home treatment team, including patient, team activity, performance, quality and staffing matters.
  • -   To support the delivery of child & family focused services, against agreed performance and quality targets and within budget, whilst delivering agreed cost improvements.
  • The post holder is expected to provide leadership and management to the staff employed in the Service and to ensure professional clinical and managerial supervision is available for all staff.
  • -   The post holder will also be a Senior Lead of the wider CAMHS Team

-Contribute to effective partnership working with key external services, in particular education, social care, the acute sector and key third sector organisations, to enable the delivery of shared outcomes;

Main duties of the job

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the identified team, including patient, team activity, performance, quality and staffing matters.
  • To contribute to the delivery of the transformational change programme for RISE , particularly through the development of a more integrated, multi-professional workforce;
  • To support the delivery of child & family focused services, against agreed performance and quality targets and within budget, whilst delivering agreed cost improvements.
  • Management of staff;
  • Contribute to effective partnership working with key external services, such as social care, the acute sector and key third sector organisations, to enable the delivery of shared outcomes;

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior supervisory level
  • Relevant qualification or significant experience in clinical children’s field - mental health, neurodevelopment, learning disability

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate and present complex information to a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across organisational and professional boundaries.
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Strong understanding of national policy in relation to health services for children and young people

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of driving service improvements
  • Experience and understanding of safeguarding
  • Experience of developing and maintaining monitoring systems to measure team performance or quality
  • Experience of managing budgets, involvement in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
