Working pattern: 24 hours per week - term time only,
The opportunity has arisen for motivated and preferably experienced healthcare support workers to provide support to the immunisation team to deliver the School aged immunisation programme.
For the right candidate we will provide you with opportunity to develop your skills continue with professional development and further your career. We will provide you with training to enable you to work as an Immunisation Healthcare support worker.
Applicants will need to have well developed communication and organisational skills and be able to work as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
To assist the immunisation and vaccination team in the delivery of a safe and effective immunisation programme for babies, children, young people, and adults
To visit schools to assist the team to ensure sessions run smoothly
To ensure systems and processes are in place to support the clinical lead to manage the immunisation and vaccination programme.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder should have a compassionate manner when dealing with groups of children and be able to work in a busy school setting.
Experience of working with children or in child settings is desirable, or if you have previously worked within a vaccination team.
You will need to hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car you can use for work.
There will be substantial access to children; therefore an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check will be required.

- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in childcare
- Good level of general education including English and Maths at GCSE/O Level
- Evidence of Information Technology (IT) related skills
