Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We have a supportive and welcoming team which includes the Paediatric Ward Manager team, Paediatric Matrons, Paediatric Practice Educators, and a dedicated Paediatric Workforce Lead. Together they will ensure you receive the support you require throughout the recruitment process as well as overseeing your training and induction requirements to enable you to carry out your role.
Our Paediatric services at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire have the following ward/department:
• Ward 14 - The adolescent unit over 13 years
• Ward 15 - Infant ward caring for 0-2 years
• Ward 16 - The Children's Ward caring for children aged 2-12 years
Each area has bespoke nurse development and training plans with the support of a Paediatric Practice Educator.
We also have opportunities to join our established rotation programme. This is a 2 year programme covering 6 rotations to each of our three inpatient areas, as well as Paediatric HDU, Neonates and the Children’s Emergency Department.
Following submission of your application you will be invited to undertake a values based assessment paper.
