New Community Mental Health Clinical Lead

Based at Swanswell Point, Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry.

Do you want to be part of a brand-new service as part of Coventry and Warwickshire’s Transformation of Community Mental Health Services?

This is truly an unique opportunity to be at the helm, lead, and develop our newly transformed Community Mental Health Team in Coventry.

The team will aim are to support those with severe mental illness, to be a patient lead, trauma informed service that is recovery focused. 

The service is being developed in conjunction with health, social care, statutory and voluntary sector partners to have an integrated service with partnership working.

Our new team is taking shape, and we want this to be an integrated multi-agency and multi-disciplinary service.  We have exciting new roles who the successful applicant will work alongside - Physical Health Clinical Lead and an ASD Clinical Lead. 

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will initially work within the Coventry Mental Health and Wellbeing Team whilst the team is developing and will move over to the new Community Mental Health Team in the new year.  The new team will be compromised of 3 smaller teams which will be intrinsically linked to the local neighbourhoods/Primary Care Networks. 

The role will have the expectation of clinically leading these teams. 

You will work alongside managers/clinical leads to develop the service and begin to pick up a specific relevant clinical caseload.  You will also be in charge of developing the model of practice, evidence based interventions and outcome monitoring as well as liaising with other agencies, charities and voluntary sectors. (Rethink/MIND/CGL/POD)

A training plan will be put in place for the team, the successful applicant will support the development of this.

To have oversight and leadership of the caseload management, duty function, clinical development of the service and supervision. You will need to have excellent communication skills, high clinical standards, and be able to build positive relationships with a variety of internal and external partners.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Relevant Professional Qualification
  • Training in working with people who are experiencing mental ill health.
  • Current Registration with relevant professional body with unrestricted practice
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Experience of working in a community mental health team

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant experience and competence in working in working in a community setting with people experiencing mental ill health.

  • Experience of supervising registered and/or non-registered staff (including students)
  • Significant experience of risk assessment and positive risk management
