Job overview

It’s an incredibly exciting time at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. The Board is in the process of “resetting” the Trust direction, which has resulted in some changes to the organisation’s core purpose.

This has provided the Trust with a huge opportunity to focus on and become a centre of excellence for all-age mental health services.

This new role will be central to achieving this vision, by providing clinical leadership to the large adult mental health directorate. The post will operate at a senior level alongside the new Director for Children and Young People, being jointly responsible for the directorate.

It is anticipated that the post-holder will provide system leadership for children and young people, developing relationships with key partners and playing a key role in developing services. The post-holder will be a key member of the trust’s senior leadership team and will deputise for the Chief Medical Officer. This post would be an ideal developmental role for a move to executive level leadership, and if successful, you will join the Trust at a time which will be career-defining.

Main duties of the job

You must be creative and have a real focus on partnership working, as we strive to do more with our communities and you will be key to making sure we are making the right decisions for the right reasons. We can also offer relocation packages to support you to make the move to Coventry and Warwickshire.

Working for our organisation

Not only is CWPT in an exciting state of transition, providing the right candidates with the opportunity to really shape and influence the future direction of the Trust, but we’re also located in a thriving location, right in the centre of the country:

  • With excellent transport links across the UK, Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull offer easy access to all major cities by train or car.
  • Coventry is a diverse and vibrant city surrounded by the beautiful countryside and picturesque villages of Warwickshire. There is a wealth of entertainment on offer, including restaurants, museums, galleries, parks, theatres and gardens.
  • For families wishing to make a home here, there are excellent state schools as well as high-ranking public schools. We also have top colleges and universities nearby, such as the University of Warwick and Coventry University.

We put ‘people at our heart’; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. We care for our staff and colleagues as much as they care for others and offer a wide range of benefits and development opportunities.

We have a clear focus on inclusivity with one of the most diverse boards in the country, have staff networks that meet regularly, and an excellent wellbeing offer for all who work for us.
