We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Edgwick PICU Team (Formerly Rowans PICU) as a Healthcare Assistant Band 3. 

Inpatient services will provide a service to people experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis (functional or organic) who require urgent treatment and delivery of required interventions who may be detained under the Mental Health Act, whilst using the least restrictive environment to facilitate recovery.

We support Flexible Working(depended on Service needs)

We are based at the Caludon Centre.

As a member of staff, you are expected to adhere to policies to assist the Trust in meeting its environmental and sustainability targets.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will provide assistance and support to the professionally qualified  staff in;

Delivering treatment and required interventions of mental health needs under supervision of a senior member of the team.
Delivering aspects of the care cluster pathway i.e. providing a range of 
activities.
Following evidenced based interventions under supervision.
Monitoring concordance to care and treatment plans reporting back to senior staff.
Supporting Care packages as delegated to meet the needs e.g. Organic 
patients.
Contributing to the review of care by providing feedback.
Recording in patient clinical notes with over sight by senior staff.

Qualifications

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3/Care certificate or equivalent qualification or be working towards
  • Good level of general education including literacy and numeracy
  • Willing and able to undertake training including MAPA and Basic life support, food hygiene

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of the need to remain calm and demonstrate compassion at all times
  • Understanding of health and safety issues

Experience
