Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administration team. We currently have a Permanent vacancy for a full time Band 3 Administration Officer with the Specialist Children and Young Peoples Services based at Ferndene Hospital, Moor Road, Prudhoe, NE42 5PB.
This is a very busy service and the successful post holder will be a member of the admin team to support the multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative service at all times.
The post holder must facilitate excellent customer service and be confident in dealing with internal and external professionals, young people and family members. You will undertake a variety of admin duties as assigned by the Medical Secretaries/Administration Manager/Ward Managers.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven experience (in last 12 months) of the following skills that are required for this post:
- Experience in a customer/patient focused environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fast, accurate typing/keyboard skills
- Experience of typing and formatting letters and reports
- Minute taking experience, including live typing
- Diary Management
- A good understanding of inputting data to a database system
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/office packages, including Microsoft Teams
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated and be able to contribute positively within a team
- Well organised and structured
- Organise documentation and type correspondence relating to patient reviews/ meetings/ Care Plans/ CPA, Mental Health Act, Safeguarding, etc. in liaison with appropriate professionals (as relevant to patient group), working in a timely manner to ensure efficiency
- Demonstrate flexibility in the role in order to meet the needs of the service
- The post holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with possible exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances and will be expected to participate on all relevant training courses appropriate to the role
- You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification otherwise you will not be shortlisted
