The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering clinical teaching sessions to Newcastle University medical students attached to Newcastle Hospitals. The Trust has a role in the delivery of teaching to all 5 years of the undergraduate MBBS programme but most of the teaching will be delivered to students in years 3, 4 and 5. As well as delivering fixed commitments within the programme it is hoped Teaching Fellows will develop their own innovative ideas for clinical teaching during their time with us.

The Trust Undergraduate Team consists of a group of enthusiastic Clinicians under the leadership of Assistant Director of Medical Education Dr Simon Hill an invaluable team of administrative staff.  We will offer support and supervision over the year as well as training and mentorship so that you develop your own teaching skills and understanding of wider issues in medical education.  As well as being offered in-house induction and training, the post holder will also be supported to undertake the Certificate of Clinical Education at UCLAN as part of this post.
