The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) is the national body responsible all for matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Aligned to the DH Health Group Counter Fraud strategy, the NHSCFA acts as the principal lead for the NHS and wider health group in counter fraud intelligence work.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team responsible for designing and delivering specialist counter fraud training to NHSCFA people and external stakeholders who support the fight against fraud and other economic crime within the NHS. The role is vital to supporting the work of the Academy.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of the Specialist Training team to develop, maintain and
support delivery of virtual and face to face courses, workshops, and 
webinars.

Responsible for providing the first point of contact for internal and external 
queries regarding the provision of learning and development.

Dealing with questions and directing callers/queries raised to the relevant 
guidance / information documents /websites.

Maintenance of internal and external training material.
Make independent decisions in their area of work ensuring objectives are met.

In addition to the advertised salary working in the London area will attract High-Cost Area Supplement where appropriate. Ensure all work carried out is done so within the context of the wider strategic aims of NHSCFA team development objectives and NHSCFA’s compliance and complaints activity.

Work closely and effectively with all colleagues within Fraud Hub &  Operations to ensure an integrated and consistent approach.

Provide support to the senior management team as required, ensuring that all 
work is undertaken about confidentiality.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting a range of administrative functions. • Course bookings & Management • Collection and maintenance of data • Maintenance of course materials • Diary management • Minute taking • Maintaining action logs • Stationery ordering • Booking travel and accommodation
  • Demonstrable experience of use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint to develop and maintain electronic materials, reports, presentations and management information.
  • Demonstrable experience of accurate collation of detailed, complex & sensitive information or data.
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with call handling and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
Desirable criteria
  • Use of MS TEAMS.

Specialist Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and the General Data Protection Act
  • Ability to draft excellent written documents including letters, emails, and minutes.
Desirable criteria
  • An understanding of the process and requirements of learning and development needs analysis and evaluation.
  • Awareness of counter fraud work within the NHS.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE (or equivalent) passes in English Language and Maths or educated to NVQ Level 2 in relevant subject or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Diploma level in administrative studies or other relevant discipline.

Communication Skills

Essential criteria
  • Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information.
  • Good workplace relationship and team building skills.
Desirable criteria
  • Minute taking skills.
