We are recruiting bank staff for all of our sites across Newcastle, Sunderland, Northumberland and Cumbria. 

 Here at NTW Solutions we are looking for people who can join us to help provide the important support services that we deliver to our partner NHS organisation. You would join our team of bank staff, which means you would be working as and when you were needed, so it could fit around other things you do. However, you would need to be flexible as it could involve working any day of the year in the morning, afternoon, or evening and across weekends and bank holidays too.

You will join a brilliant team and could be carrying out a range jobs from cleaning to working in one of our cafes or helping deliver post or move furniture around our sites. The work is varied and interesting but what you are doing is very important so you will need to work to a high standard.

Main duties of the job

You may be required to provide a number of duties including cleaning, catering and portering services to both colleagues and service users. There may also be a requirement to work in other facility departments to meet the needs of the service.

We have available positions available across all of our sites:

Newcastle: St Nicholas Hospital, Walkergate Park Hospital & Campus for Ageing and Vitality

Northumberland: Northgate Hospital, St Georges Park Hospital & Ferndene Childerens Hospital

Sunderland: Monkwearmouth Hospital & Hopewood Park Hospital

Cumbria: Carleton Clinic

Pay: Band A (£12.08 per hour)

We pay 25% enhancement, time and a quarter, on hours worked during a Saturday and Sunday.

If you currently work for NTW Solutions on AfC terms and and conditions, you will be given the choice to retain these or move onto NTW Solutions terms and conditions. Please note that the above advertised salary will not apply if you choose to remain on AfC. Anyone currently paying into the NHS Pension scheme will be able to retain this.

Essential criteria
  • Must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post

  • Customer care skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of cleaning and COSHH procedures
  • Must be prepared to be flexible when dealing with inconsistent workloads
  • Awareness of the needs of service

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be able to take and justify decisions when required to do so.

Qualifications
