Congratulations if you are a Nursing Associate!  An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered nursing associates to join our very friendly team in the Ophthalmology Department.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will include:

  • Providing optimum quality of care to patients
  • Offering support to the multi-professional team
  • Supporting the Registered Nurse on duty
  • Taking responsibility for an identified area on a regular shift
  • Administer medications in alignment with NMC standards of proficiency and Trust policy and procedure.
  • Playing an integral role in the delivery of Care Benchmarking activities and Trust specific CQUINS targets
  • Participating in audits

Successful candidates must demonstrate genuine desire to become a part of our amazing team and provide outstanding care for our ophthalmic patients. Ophthalmic experience desirable

Essential criteria
  • Foundation Degree in Nursing.
  • GCSE/Functional skills in English & Maths level 2
  • Trained Nursing Associate
  • Registered with the NMC.
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance

  • Understand requirements for NMC professional revalidation
Desirable criteria
  • Professional Portfolio and Interview

Skills
