Wexham Park Hospital Dermatology Service is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative professional to complement the current clinical team of Consultant Dermatologists, Specialty Doctors, Specialist Nurses, Dermatology Nurses and MacMillan Nurse, and to help us continue to deliver a high performing service. Wexham Park Hospital has a well-deserved reputation for good quality dermatology care and we have consistently achieved excellent outcomes for our patients.
Main duties of the job
We are commissioned to provide a wide range of dermatology services to our local communities within Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. Our services include minor operations, skin cancer, vulval, patch testing, phototherapy, psoriasis and general dermatology. The successful applicant will be required to participate and deliver as many of these services as appropriate along with supporting our ward liaison service. Any cases requiring input from our colleagues in other specialties i.e. general surgery, ENT, plastics are managed in house through internal referrals.
This is a 10 PA post to enhance the care of our dermatology patients within the clinic and minor operations environments, and also on the hospital wards. You will assist the consultant team, specialty doctors and specialist nurses to provide a service that meets the needs of our ever expanding caseload.

Knowledge/ Qualifications/ Special Training
Essential criteria
- Full registration with the GMC
- Understands the principles and practice of audit
- MRCP
- Previous experience in dermatology
Experience
Essential criteria
- Wide clinical experience of general management principles in general medicine
- Previous experience of participating in teaching
Desirable criteria
- Wide experience of dermatology medicine
- Evidence of involvement of significant service change associated with audit
