Job overview
This person will play a key role in supporting the Chief Operating Officer and the Operational leadership team to deliver quality operational services through working collaboratively with clinical leaders, operational Divisional Directors, Senior Managers and with the colleague 8B Senior Business Manager in our Trust.
The person will bring business, analytical and project management capacity to Operations to support the trust in achieving its strategic aims.
Main duties of the job
The post holder supports the Chief Operating Officer and the Operational leadership team in the planning and implementation of transformation projects to benefit the local population.
The person will oversee and support the delivery of the operational priorities in the Annual Plan with emphasis on Financial Recovery Programme and work that supports the achievement of the strategic priorities, bringing additional capacity to projects as required. The role will develop and co-ordinate the Annual Operational Business plan and ensure its effective monitoring and delivery. The post holder will work closely with Divisional and corporate leaders. The post holder will be responsible for writing reports for the Operations and Executive Boards through employing an analytical and qualitative approach that will inform operational and strategic decisions for consideration by a range of internal/external stakeholders.
The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, drive change and work with teams to lead improvements where necessary. The post holder will be expected to lead service re-design and policy reviews. The role will help to troubleshoot hot spots impacting on the Trust’s ability to deliver quality services working with internal and external stakeholders.

Interviews are scheduled for 16 August at 18 Mole Business Park, Leatherhead. Please note that you will be required to undertake a Psychometric Test prior to the interview and a date will be advised. You will be asked to complete a written assessment on the day of your interview.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Graduate level education and/or professional/clinical professional qualification
- A post graduate qualification or qualification in management, project management
- Evidence of extensive and recent commitment to continuing development
Experience
Essential criteria
- Senior operational NHS (or similar) experience
- Ability to develop effective business and operational plans
- Experience of leading and managing substantial service change and redesign in a complex environment
- Effective leadership skills and demonstrable ability in achieving change through the completion of projects/programmes
- Budgetary management and delivery of concurrent projects
- Demonstrable understanding of quality management processes and standards
Desirable criteria
- Mental health clinical experience

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
