An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Older Persons Inpatient Mental Health Services as a Receptionist.

We currently have a part time position available at the Victoria Ward, Farnham Road Hospital, Guildford. The hours are 26 hours working four days a week.
Situated in Farnham Road Hospital in Guilford; Victoria Ward is an acute assessment and treatment ward specialising in the care of Older People with functional mental health issues.
We are a 20-bedded inpatient ward and we have an experienced and dedicated team which is passionate about giving high quality, person centred care.
You should have excellent IT, communication, and administration skills, be well organised with a meticulous approach to work and attention to detail. You will be proactive and able to manage your own working time effectively. You must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Main duties of the job
To deal with any visitors to the reception area in a professional and welcoming manner
To ensure incoming and outgoing post and parcel deliveries are dealt with efficiently on a daily basis
Answer telephone calls and relay any messages in a timely manner
Check and book rooms for other team members upon request
Receive and respond to e-mails in an appropriate manner, forwarding where necessary
Administer the appropriate access tools, such as door fobs, car park barriers, keys etc. as required
Ensure all visitors sign in and out of the relevant visitor book/system
Monitor CCTV cameras, where applicable, highlighting concerns to the relevant person
Highlight to manager any concerns regarding reception
Keep up to date with statutory and mandatory training

Essential criteria
- GCSE Level C in English or Functional Skills at Level 2 or Equivalent qualification
Desirable criteria
- Experience in using Microsoft Office (Desirable)
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Admin (Desirable)
