AfC Band 7

Job overview

FIXED TERM CONTRACT 12 MONTHS

The Physiotherapy Team are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team for a fixed term contract. You will be pivotal in the training and development of a range of Physiotherapy staff including newly qualified staff, students, overseas physiotherapists and return to practice physiotherapists

You must be a well-organised individual with excellent communication skills and have a range of senior experience across inpatient services within the NHS in an acute setting.

The post requires concise decision-making and ability to liaise with all members of the multi-disciplinary team. The Physiotherapists work in an integrated way with Occupational Therapists and have a mix of qualified and unqualified staff as well as therapy associate practitioners.

This post is suitable for applicants who already work at Team Lead level or experienced band 6 Physiotherapists who have a special interest in inpatient care.

We are committed to CPD and will work with you to further your skills and experience. We are a strong supportive and friendly Physiotherapy Department.

Main duties of the job

You will work alongside the existing inpatient Team Leads and management team to coordinate clinical supervision, probationary, personal, and professional development of a range of inpatient physiotherapy staff.

Although the post is predominantly weekdays, there will be a requirement to work some bank holidays and weekends to fill weekend rotas alongside staff who require clinical supervision.
