JOB PURPOSE

 

To provide a calm, friendly and welcoming reception to Emergency Floor incorporating A and E, Emergency Assessment Unit and Ambulatory and Emergency Care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Band 2 Receptionists - Emergency Department A&E (Accident & Emergency) / SDEC (Same Day Emergency Care) / AMU (Acute Medical Unit) / Guildford Ward

 

Evening Receptionist – Evenings 17.00-22.00pm

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team working in Emergency Care. The Emergency Department is a friendly, exciting place to work currently undergoing a large transformational project with exciting new developments and opportunities.

We are looking for Receptionists to work on our friendly reception desks in the Emergency Department.  The successful candidates will undertake a variety of reception duties including working on our A&E, SDEC, AMU & Guildford Ward Reception and processing Patient data. You will also act as a focal point of communication between Patients, Ambulance Crews and Medical / Clinical staff.

The successful candidates will have a friendly and professional attitude, good IT and organisational skills and be able to accurately complete / input data. The successful candidate will also need to be able to deal with difficult and stressful situations with courtesy and empathy.
