Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and positive individual to join our ICT Department to support Surrey Downs Health & Care, and Sutton Health & Care with the use of community applications.   

Main duties of the job

o   Be a member of the Community Applications Team and wider ICT Clinical Programme Team.

o   Support the use of community applications, including application upgrades and configuration changes ensuring minimal impact on business use

o   Be the point of contact for community application users and the supplier for any issues which require supplier input

o   Provide advice on use of community applications to support optimum clinical workflow and clinical noting

o   Provide support for the deployment of smartcards and troubleshooting any issues

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who is able to work both independently and within a team. Evidence of knowledge of community applications and community business processes are key.

The individual is also required to have excellent communication and computer skills.

Education

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience
  • Good computer skills including word and excel
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of continued education

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Specialist Knowledge
Desirable criteria
  • Expertise in community systems (SystmOne, EMIS community)

Experience

Essential criteria
  • ICT department experience
  • Experience working in a community setting
  • Experience of application support
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of application support for community systems
  • Experience of participating in user forums and/or meetings

Skills

  • Good level of computer literacy
