We are seeking to recruit a professional and experienced Receptionist with a can-do attitude and a friendly and cheerful disposition to join our Front of House team. The position is based in Chertsey, Surrey.
The post holder will have responsibility for front line reception duties and the provision of a confidential, professional, efficient and responsive administrative support service. You should have excellent customer service skills and demonstrate a high degree of tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality as the first point of contact for service users, carers, health professionals and third- party organisations. You will have experience of working in a confidential public facing role.
You will have very good communication, teamworking and organisational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a professional and calm approach.

Main duties of the job
To ensure that all incoming calls to switchboard and site are answered promptly and in a professional manner and directed to the relevant person or team, to meet the caller’s requirements.
Greet clients and visitors to the Trust and alert team members of their arrival including use of SystmOne or offer direction, as required.
To programme and issue building access cards and, where relevant car parking permits, and to maintain accurate records and databases.
To be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of data in accordance with Trust policy.
To liaise with the maintenance department regarding any repairs required within the building to maintain a safe working environment.
Share responsibility to maintain the security of the building through proactive visitor management and escalation of security issues and concerns.
Carry out regular safety checks, i.e. Fire safety checks and ensuring safety equipment are in good working order.
Ensure Front of House (Reception and Waiting Area) is maintained – cups are available for the water cooler, literature is tidy; general appearance of the area being looked after.
To undertake site walks and ensure that any issues are raised with the relevant helpdesk whilst ensuring that clients are engaged, escalating any ongoing issues to line managers.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
