Job overview

An exciting opportunity to join the Theatres team at Ashford & St Peters. You will have the opportunity to be part of the brand new Elective Centre at Ashford Hospital operationalising and managing the theatre footprint across both sites.

Working for the GSACT division, you will be part of a innovative and high performing division that is ACSA accredited and one of the biggest Bariatric services in the country. The division has had great success in HIT lists and Super Clinics. The Urology service have recently started using Aquablation as a extension to our existing Robotic Strategy. 

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be responsible for the operational management and the effective and efficient delivery of Theatres including managing comms and meetings for estates infrastructure, utilization and productivity, overall governance of theatre booking including 6-4-2 whilst managing and maintaining the existing Theatre Improvement Programme.

  • • Significant experience of managing a range of staff in a major service through cross divisions

  • Performance - RTT/Cancer
  • Experience of working with MDT teams
Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge and experience to theatres governance, booking 642
  • Knowledge of emergency and elective pathways
  • • Proven ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.
