Main duties of the job

You will:

  • Be delivering high-quality audiology care.
  • Perform hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and follow up care for adults.
  • Provide diagnostic support to ENT clinics, including some paediatric testing.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, carers, and other professionals.
  • Participate in service development.

We provide care at Ashford Hospital, St Peter's Hospital and Woking Community Hospital in Surrey.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc in Audiology, BAAT Parts 1 & 2, or equivalent
  • Registered with Academy for Healthcare Science or Health Care Professions Council

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experienced in adult hearing assessments
  • Experience of hearing aid fitting with verification using real ear measurements (probe microphone measurements)
  • Experience of taking aural impressions
  • Experience of testing hearing in children aged 4 and above
Desirable criteria
  • Use of Auditbase patient management system
  • Experience of working within the NHS
