eRostering Facilitator

Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the eRostering team at Frimley Health. This role is offered as a hybrid contract working from home and at Heatherwood Hospital, providing business as usual Tier 2 support to all our staff.

You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate updates are made to the eRostering system, maintaining consistency with information held in the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system and following eRostering agreed processes. You will provide a second-line helpdesk function, dealing with budgets, template review, pay issues and resolution of complex issues from HealthRoster, Loop, eExpenses and payroll from the users across the Trust.

Excellent communication skills are a must, and you will need the confidence to provide advice, training and support to system users on a daily basis. You will have an excellent telephone manner and good interpersonal skills, as well as an organised and methodical approach, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

You will need to have previous experience of working with the RLDatix (Allocate Software) HealthRoster system and Microsoft office. Experience of working within a helpdesk, data entry or clinical environment would also be advantageous.  

Main duties of the job

  • To support the effective roll out and management of eRostering across all areas the Trust. To expand the use of eRostering to other staff groups and function.
  • To work closely with managers, clinical and operational staff to ensure the successful implementation, utilisation and management of eRostering across the Trust. To promote the use of additional functionality within the system.
  • To be responsible for monitoring to ensure systems and processes are embedded into practice both within the eRostering team and within clinical and non-clinical area.
  • To ensure timely and accurate completion of changes and requests received (i.e. updates to roster templates, staff details etc)
  • To coordinate the monthly finalisation and production of time and attendance and absence extracts to Payroll to ensure staff on eRostering are paid accurately on time
  • To help keep eRostering system guidance and user guides are up-to-date, adhering to best practice. To design and deliver eRostering system training as required.
  • To provide specialist advice and support to staff on software and system queries, providing resolution and escalating to the eRostering Manager of software providers where appropriate.
  • To ensure effective communication to eRostering system users regarding roster deadlines, system updates, best practice and other changes as relevant.
  • To provide project support and lead on ad-hoc tasks as required.

  • Allocate academy or equivalent experience
  • ECDL or Microsoft Office Specialist qualification, or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with Allocate HealthRoster in the Service Desk or Implementation role
  • Experience of designing and delivering system training
