This vital role supports our New Hospital Programme by managing its resourcing and recruitment needs, ensuring we attract and recruit high-calibre staff to meet our strategic objectives and ensure successful delivery of the programme.

As the Resourcing Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process for the New Hospital Programme, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective resourcing solutions across all staff groups. 

Your role will also involve providing an efficient service to establish an agile and flexible workforce to meet evolving needs as the programme progresses.

  • Resourcing Management: Manage the Trust’s resourcing and recruitment requirements for the New Hospital Programme, ensuring successful delivery of resourcing activities for all staff groups.
  • Talent Attraction: Lead on attracting and recruiting high-calibre staff at all levels, meeting business needs within agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, and cost constraints.
  • Specialist Consultancy: Provide a specialist resourcing consultancy service across the Trust, advising on best practices and utilising the most up-to-date resourcing initiatives by monitoring market trends and undertaking research.
  • Resourcing Strategy: Develop and implement resourcing strategies, creating and delivering comprehensive resourcing and recruitment plans, including addressing temporary resourcing demands.
  • Account Management: Operate as an account manager, communicating local service and programme workforce needs to the central resourcing and wider people directorate teams for action and support.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet the resourcing needs of the New Hospital Programme.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed analysis of resourcing data and provide regular reports to senior management, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Innovation: Champion innovative recruitment solutions and strategies to support the Trust's long-term goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Educated to HR / business degree level or equivalent plus training and/or experience in recruitment practice to postgraduate level
  • CIPD qualified/accredited or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification
  • BPS test use qualification

Skills & Knowledge

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams to provide an effective service
  • Specialist knowledge of recruitment and selection methods, the external market and resourcing best practice strategies

  • Understanding of clinical settings and operational practices and pressures

Experience

  • Substantial experience of designing and delivering recruitment processes, including assessment centres / attraction campaigns
  • Experience of high-volume recruitment
  • Experience of project management
  • Line management experience, including project / matrix teams

  • Experience of temporary staffing
