Targeted Lung Health Checks Coordinator

Job overview
This newly created role will directly support the TLHC consultant and clinical nurse specialist.
The post holder will attend the multi-disciplinary meetings, book diagnostics, maintain patients' records to include typing and filing letters, results and any other administration jobs relating to the meeting, ensuring that any information not on E-Care is scanned and put on the patients' Evolve notes.
With excellent communication skills, the post holder will regularly communicate with patients, relatives, carers and staff using a professional and sensitive manner to respond to a diverse range of enquiries.
Liaising with the lung service, Royal Papworth and Addenbrooke’s hospitals, to ensure timely response to referrals.
Main duties of the job
To support the development the Targeted Lung health Check Project across the trust and the primary care setting to provide high-quality, cost-effective service using research, audit and evidence-based practice.
To assist and coordinate relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings for Targeted Lung Health Check patients.
To be responsible for ensuring an optimum level of efficient clerical and administrative support to the clinical respiratory team for the MDT meetings in a timely and accurate manner.
They will have contact with patients, carers, and all members of the multi-professional clinical team.
Manage the database of patients who have been referred into the THLC service ensuring patients are booked in for relevant appointments.
Provide Medical Secretarial support to the Targeted Lung Health Check Consultant.

STAFF CAR PARKING
Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 – 18:30.
For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.
This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete “on call” duties within their role.
