Clinical Lead

NHS AfC: Band 8b

Trosolwg o'r swydd

**This post comes with a Welcome to MPFT bonus of 20% of the starting salary. 10% to be paid on appointment, and the further 10% paid following 12 months in post**

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Applied Psychologist to work in South Staffordshire, to deliver an OPD service for people with complex personality difficulties in the justice system.

You will be joining a team that includes a Senior Probation Officer, Specialist Probation Practitioner, and an Assistant Psychologist. You will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for the South Staffordshire OPD service, leading on case identification, case consultation and formulation, workforce development and joint casework. Through these clinical activities, you will support Probation Service staff to work with complex, high-risk people on probation with trauma histories and personality difficulties, in a psychologically informed way, with the aim of building robust therapeutic relationships, increasing engagement, and reducing the risk of future harm to self and others.

You will be joining an established and friendly group of OPD Clinical Leads, for whom clinical supervision, peer support and continuing professional development are an integral part of clinical practice.

We invite applications from Clinical or Forensic Practitioner Psychologists from diverse backgrounds to join the team, as part of our expanding Health and Justice Services.  Whilst this is a part-time post, additional hours may be available for anyone looking for full time hours.
