Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) & The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT) North Midlands and Black Country Procurement Group(NMBCPG) as an a Operational Procurement Warehouse Officer. You will be responsible for providing a materials management service to the Royal Stoke Warehouse.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for accepting and receipting goods into the Royal Stoke Warehouse.  Duties will include checking goods and using a P2P system to goods receive stock.  You will order and receipt locally held stock lines for onward distribution.  Providing a materials management service ordering medical and non-medical consumables for the wards and wider community area.  You will also be responsible for stocktaking functionality within the Warehouse environment.

Education

Essential criteria
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English Language
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 in procurement or warehousing (or a commitment to attain this within the first 18 months following appointment)
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of stock control and stock control systems

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a warehouse environment in a goods receiving role
  • Experience of P2P systems used for goods receipting
  • Experience of resolving delivery and invoice queries
  • Experience of stock control and stock control systems
  • Experience of Excel and formatting skills
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience
