Job overview

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust is pleased to advertise this full time, 37.5 hours per week, Band 7, Team Leader post.

The post is situated in our Community Assessment Stabilisation and Treatment Team (CASTT) and you will provide leadership into our expanding Complex Emotional Needs pathway. You will be supported by the Service Manager and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to deliver compassionate leadership to a warm, passionate and trauma-informed multi-disciplinary team.

We largely operate as an on-line team with some face to face meetings and we support hybrid, agile and flexible working approaches in line with our service delivery model. Our wider team comprises of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Mental Health Practitioners and Peer Support Workers.

Main duties of the job

·        The maintenance of positive working relationships and liaison with other departments, agencies and bodies both internal and external to the trust is critical to the successful application of this role.

 ·        To provide Managerial supervision to Practitioners within CASTT

 ·        The post holder will work with others as required to ensure that the activity of their designated team is co-ordinated as required with other Trust Services and with other Agencies in support of effective and efficient care pathways.

 ·        The post holder will ensure team activity supports efficient use of resources in line with an allocated budget.

 ·        The post holder will ensure team activity is in line with required performance parameters and quality standards.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·        The post holder will support Business Planning within the Division in line with their sphere of expertise and responsibilities.

 ·        The post holder will be an active practitioner and will contribute directly to the clinical/ care activity of the team as agreed with the Service Manager.

 ·        The Team Lead will manage the disciplines within the team and ensure that all staff have undergone the necessary training for them to carry out their duties effectively within the guidance of Trust policies & Procedures.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Must have qualification in one of the following RMN, Social Work Degree/DIPSW, OT
  • Evidence of professional development.
  • Relevant Professional Registration

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Substantial experience of working within mental health.
  • Demonstrate both managerial and clerical skills in previous post.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • To understand the need for change and demonstrate the ability of facilitating this with the Directorate.
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
