The post holder will provide an effective recruitment and administrative service to identified divisions for doctors on behalf of the Trust, ensuring that all NHS Employment Standards are adhered too.
As a Medical Staffing Officer the post holder will be required to work on their own initiate and have the ability to answer the many varied queries without support (advice may be sought from Medical Staffing Manager / Head of Medical Staffing and Recruitment as and when required) and demonstrate a willingness to help others and be a key member of the team. The post holder will be expected to prioritise work and meet conflicting deadlines in order to meet the requirements of the post.
Main duties of the job
Provide routine advice and guidance on recruitment and employment matters (i.e. terms and conditions, pay, annual leave), relating to doctors within the Trust, to managers and staff of the Trust. Working within policies, guidelines and statutory requirements to influence decision making through the exchange of information in relation to medical staffing matters. Being first point of contact for telephone, face to face and email enquiries.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good general education, GCSE Maths and English or equivalent or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of experience
- A Level or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of a range of administrative and HR procedures, acquired through relevant training and experience to diploma, CPP equivalent level

Essential criteria
- Previous experience of working within a large, complex organisation
- Relevant administrative experience, preferably in the NHS or similar
- Customer focussed and experience of working in a customer facing environment
