Senior Administration Assistant

The Heart Centre is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, and motivated individual to join our administration team. You will work alongside the existing administrative, management and clinical teams.
A good understanding of reception and managing diagnostics services is required. You will be responsible for booking and scheduling of investigations including waiting list management ensuring all cardiac investigations are logged and booked according to the National Targets.
You must have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and work as a team player. Competent computer skills are essential and a cheerful, flexible approach to the workload is necessary. This is a busy role which will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities.
This post is ideal for an individual with a strong administrative background who thrives in a team environment and has good organisational, communication and prioritisation skills with a high level of computer literacy ensuring data is inputted accurately. The successful candidate will also need to be able to work on their own initiative and going the extra mile in supporting co-workers as the senior member of the team.
An understanding of the EPR computer system and Careflow is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

To provide and be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the office activities relating to the booking and scheduling of investigations for Heart and Lung. In addition there will be waiting list management for our diagnostic investigations.
To work closely with reception and admin teams being their first list of contact where issues arise, endeavouring to resolve in the first instance before escalating to the Line Manager.
It is expected that the post holder will be flexible and show initiative in this role. You will be required to cover your counterparts in times of absence and to work as part of a team ensuring all aspects of the diagnostics administration teams are covered.
