An opportunity has arisen for a registered physiotherapist static Band 6 post in amputee rehabilitation and musculoskeletal outpatients at County Hospital. 

We are looking for an outstanding Senior Physiotherapist to continue with the delivery and development of the service for amputee rehabilitation including the satellite limb fitting clinic - part of the Amputee Rehabilitation Service based at the Haywood Hospital.

This post holder will also have the opportunity to be part of the acute musculoskeletal out patient service including acute consultant referrals and a staff physiotherapy service. Facilities include a well-equipped gym and close links with the hand service located in the same department.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must demonstrate that they have sufficient evidence of experience working in the field of amputee rehabilitation and musculoskeletal out-patients. 

Support and training as a clinical educator will be provided and the post holder will have the opportunity to supervise physiotherapy students.

Supervision will be provided by Advanced Therapists and continuous development is supported through appraisal, internal training and external learning.  The Therapy team work within a 7 day shift system therefore the post holder will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

The post holder will have the opportunity to develop their leadership and management skills, as well as building clinical expertise that will enhance and broaden their clinical skills.

Candidates will demonstrate the ability to present information, both written and orally, in a clear and logical manner.  The ability to organise, prioritise and delegate is a requirement for the post.
