Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity to join our adult acute ward, Brocton House at St George’s Hospital based in Stafford. As an experienced Health Care Support Worker from the NHS or private sector, you'll join a team that works in close partnership with Staffordshire Police and Mental Health Services, and you’ll join a Trust that puts people at the heart of what we do.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To provide support, and spend therapeutic time with an allocated group of service users with mental health needs.
  • To promote service user’s recovery through the delivery of high quality, outcome measured care and evidence based interventions.
  • To assist Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans
  • Regularly report and effectively communicate service users’ health status and care aims in care records and verbal reports to Registered Professional Staff members and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including while supporting section 136 assessments and ECT treatment

Brocton House is a 20 bed inpatient facility for working age adults with acute mental health problems. We also provide a 6 bed ‘Whittington Suite’ for serving military personnel.

We provide inpatient facilities for working age adults with acute mental health problems and we are looking for caring, compassionate individual to work within our acute service who are committed to providing high quality care and treatment to our patients. Working in an acute environment can be challenging, but with the right team, positive attitude and resilience we are rising to the challenge and reaping the reward of being able to support people during their most difficult times.

With you in our team, we will empower you to work innovatively, showing a commitment to providing compassionate care and a strong desire to improve the patient’s experience. You will be able to apply the philosophies of engagement, recovery and positive care in your work with your patients.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care with demonstrable evidence of numeracy and literacy skills Or (equivalent GCSE’s or Functional Skills)
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience as outlined below

Experience
