Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin is a large area in the West Midlands, bordering Mid-Wales. It is centred around six main towns being Shrewsbury to the West and Telford to the East. Oswestry, Ludlow, Market Drayton and Bridgnorth are smaller picturesque market towns. Shropshire is one of the least crowded and most peaceful areas of England. It has a long history of wild border conflicts which have left a legacy of atmospheric hill forts, earthworks and castles. The county is well served with excellent schools in both the public and private sectors. There is much to offer with unspoilt countryside, historic towns, good food, exercise and entertainment. With great network links the County is commutable from the Midlands with easy access via the M54.
