Full time, 37.5 hours per week – initial 12 months secondment

**Expressions of Interest for existing Band 6 Community MH practitioners within South Staffordshire Mental Health Services**.

 

An opportunity has arisen to recruit 1 wte, Band 7 Neighbourhood Lead for Cannock IMHT based in the South West locality of South Staffordshire Adult Mental Health Services. 

Applicants should currently be working as a Band 6 Community Practitioner within South Staffordshire Mental Health Services and have a high level of experience in community mental health care provision.

This specialist post requires the applicant to have an understanding of the business of the service and be committed to delivering at a leadership level.

The successful applicant will hold a clear understanding of the Community Mental Health Transformation program and the ongoing priorities for Mental Health Services across our Integrated Care System. 

Main duties of the job

Work collaboratively with the Operational Manager, and team clinical / professional leads in the planning and delivery of the service.

To ensure that all Trust policies and guidelines are adhered to and provide guidance to clinical staff regarding implementation.

To support the local implementation of National strategies and to initiate change and practice development.

Be integral and take a lead in driving forwards the principles of Mental Health Transformation

Lead on developing team objectives in line with the integrated care agenda and care group objectives.

To actively champion and participate in quality improvement within the team, to drive forward service development and innovations through implementation of MPFT quality improvement and lean methodology.

Work with Service Leads and Head of Operations on service development and redesign and effectively manage service change across the workforce.

Work with the wider Mental Health Leadership Team with the ongoing review and redesign of services.

Lead on promoting and embedding service user involvement into the design, development and delivery of services, including ongoing processes to measures the impact service user feedback has on service

Essential criteria
  • First level professional Nursing /AHP/Social Work qualification.
  • Post-registration experience and/or evidence of formal courses and training at post graduate diploma level

Experience

  • Internal MPFT Employee - currently working in Community team with IMHT experience
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Significant demonstrable post qualification experience at Band 6 working in a mental health / specialist inpatient setting.
