A Locum Consultant Rheumatologist, to provide 8PA’s of 6 months fixed-term sickness cover to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full and Specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC), or be eligible for registration within six months of interview
- Name on the specialist register for relevant specialty or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
- MRCP or equivalent
- Rheumatology Specialist Exam
Desirable criteria
- MD or PhD or equivalent
Clinical experience
Essential criteria
- Ability to work as an independent practitioner in the specialty of Rheumatology. Possess broad clinical experience general Rheumatology
Research
Essential criteria
- Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate
Desirable criteria
- Publications in Peer reviewed journals.
Teaching and training
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching student doctors and doctors in training at all levels
CPD
Essential criteria
- Evidence of participation in CME/CPD in the last 12 months
Desirable criteria
- Maintenance of a CPD diary or portfolio
Management and Administration
Essential criteria
- Evidence of the understanding of the systems and structures of NHS Management
Clinical governance and audit
Essential criteria
- Experience in performing clinical audit
Desirable criteria
- Completion and publication of a substantive audit project or service improvement project
Personal attributes
Essential criteria
- Demonstrates behaviour consistent with PROUD values
- Good oral and written communication skills
