Job overview
This role takes responsibility for the Programme Management of the Procurement Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) Workstreams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the CIP objectives. The Procurement Efficiency & E-Procurement Manager will co-ordinate the Collaborative Projects that Sheffield Teaching Hospital is leading on including Shelford, Working Together and ICS Programmes.
Also having responsibility for delivering support in the planning and reporting of the workstreams, working in such a way that fully complies with the Trusts reporting timescales and governance arrangements.
The role will involve leading on the development of e-procurement strategies and implementation as well as management of the e-procurement and analyst team.
Successful candidates will be able to act on their own initiative, demonstrate sound judgement, have strong programme management, change management and stakeholder management skills and have a demonstrable track record of leading or playing a significant role in the delivery of complex change management projects or programmes.
Candidates will have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities and knowledge and experience of Procurement processes.
Main duties of the job
Designing and effectively managing procurement CIP programme workstreams/ projects. Co-ordinate collaborative projects led by the Trust.
Support the delivery of procurement efficiency savings.
Provide leadership to both the Analyst Team and E-Procurement Team.
Provide change management support.
Review, analyse and refine procurement processes to increase efficiency. Work with the team to make the best use of procure to pay systems.
Set up and maintain project groups to enable delivery of required workstream outputs.
To identify and escalate emerging risks to the Procurement Director.
To prepare complex business cases, presentations and analytical reports to a range of audiences.

Essential criteria
- Degree Level Qualification
- Masters level qualification, or equivalent experience
- Evidence of CPD
- Project/Programme Management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2, MSP or equivalent experience
