Working for our organisation

It is a friendly city with a prosperous economy and relatively low cost of living, all of which makes for an excellent quality of life.
It has good rail and road links, with a typical train journey to London St Pancras taking 2 hours. Manchester Airport is also just over an hour away with an ever expanding repertoire of routes to national and international destinations.
The city of Sheffield contains an abundance of entertainment and cultural activities including award-winning theatres, (the Crucible and Lyceum are world-class theatres and major regional attractions), museums and galleries, a variety of clubs and live music venues, and a range of spectator and participation sports. With a thriving cultural industries quarter and a range of city-wide events throughout the year, there is something on offer to suit everyone’s taste and interests.

COVID-19 Vaccination Information: COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course our patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not a condition of employment at this time, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. We will be checking the vaccination status of all new starters so that we can manage individual and environmental risks, and so that we can support those who may be undecided about vaccination. If you are unvaccinated there is helpful advice and information at https://sheffieldhospitalscoronavirus.co.uk/vaccine.html where you can also find out more about how to access vaccination.
