We are looking to recruit a Linen Service Assistant in the Sewing Room to the Linen Services Department with full time hours available.
The service is looking for enthusiastic individuals to work within this very busy department who currently undertake the provision of uniforms across the Trust.
The successful candidate will assist in the provision of a cost effective and efficient uniform service to all service users.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high quality, cost effective uniform service, ensuring that the service provided meets the users demands.
To provide advice to service users and ensure an adequate stock of uniforms is maintained and that users are provided with the correct uniform for their role in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE English & Maths at Grade 3/D, or equivalent, or relevant experience that demonstrates competency to this level
Desirable criteria
- Basic Health & Safety Training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Must be computer literate including basic skills in the use of Microsoft Excel Data entry into spread sheets
- Experience of using an industrial sewing machine
Desirable criteria
- Substantial experience in a commercial laundry
- Experience in use of industrial laundry equipment
Special Skills/Aptitudes
Essential criteria
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Efficient time management and ability to prioritise tasks
- Able to demonstrate use of initiative and team working
- Understanding of the reasons for and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Desirable criteria
- Awareness of or training in Equality & Diversity
