Trosolwg o'r swydd

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Acute Inpatient Services. This is an 8a vacancy, however, we would welcome applications from newly qualified CP looking for a B7 post.

You will be joining a vibrant, supportive team which includes 4 inpatient wards, Liaison Psychiatry and Home Treatment. The successful candidate will be based on our inpatient wards at the Michael Carlisle Centre, with a shared office space for psychology staff. Our team consists of Principal and Senior CPs, CAPs, and is led by a Consultant CP who is also an Approved Clinician.

We are involved in the Culture of Care programme, part of NHS England’s Quality Transformation aimed at developing safe, compassionate, culturally competent wards. We have also been selected to develop the Safe2Share tool on our wards. You will have a key role in supporting and implementing these changes, with opportunities to be innovative and influential.

Our team recognises the value and importance of embedding practice-based research in acute settings. We collaborate with the University of Sheffield and have an established Acute Research Group.

The post will suit a candidate who has experience and interest in working with people with complex mental health difficulties within a MDT. Psychology roles are highly valued by the ward teams.

In return we offer a commitment to supporting CPD and providing supervision by senior members of the psychology team.
