Job overview

This post is for a lead professional on our At Risk Mental State Pathway.

We are the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team in Rotherham.

If you are a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, we would be very interested in recruiting and welcoming you to our team.

We are responsible for providing care and treatment for 14 to 65 year olds experiencing either their first episode of psychosis or have an ‘At Risk Mental State’ (ARMS). We are committed to making a difference to people’s lives to improve their future.

Our team is a well-established, high-quality service providing multidisciplinary team working across Rotherham. We deliver an evidenced based treatment package to people experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis or an At-Risk Mental State (ARMS). We are at the forefront of developing new treatments and interventions to further improve the care that we offer, in conjunction with the trust’s research team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Work closely with other locally based services and agencies to assist in the promotion and development of a comprehensive early intervention in psychosis service
  • Hold a caseload and act as a lead professional on our Act Risk Mental State Pathway.
  • Provide care coordinator role for an agreed number of service users and their families.
  • Promote early detection and to help develop links with other youth focused services.
