Are you a Band 6 Occupational therapist looking for a new challenge or an experienced band 5 therapist who is looking to take the next step in their career? If so the North Lincolnshire Community Team for Learning Disabilities would love to hear from you!
The successful candidate will work with adults who have the full range of learning disability within the area, and will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
The post will involve working in a variety of settings including patients own homes, care homes, supported living environments etc.
We are a growing team with close links to our colleagues in both Rotherham and Doncaster. We will be able to provide regular support and supervision. Our priority is to ensure that we provide the best patient experience and clinical outcomes possible. We offer a commitment to CPD and value your skills and ideas. Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive Occupational Therapy (OT) service to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities in Rotherham, dealing with more complex cases that have profound and complex difficulties.
To manage a defined caseload of adult service users, using person-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions through the promotion and implementation of evidence-based practice.
To work autonomously within community settings as part of an integrated community team.

Essential criteria
- HCPC Registration
- 18 months post qualifying experience as an OT
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within LD services
- Experience working with postural management
- Experience working within sensory integration
- Experience in supervision of others/ L'apple qualification
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
