Dermatology Imaging Technician

Job overview
This is a newly developed post to support the Dermatology department capturing comprehensive imaging of patients on suspected cancer pathways.
We are recruiting two individuals to work part time, 29.5 hours per week based at our CDC on the Mexborough Montague site.
The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that accurate and reliable images are undertaken for review by medical staff to determine the patient pathway. They will also provide essential management of the referral pathway into the service.
Main duties of the job
Perform dermascopic photography of skin lesions to aid in the diagnostic pathway
Upload digital Images for clinical review and manage outcome
Manage referrals and appointment requests relevant to the imaging process
Work with colleagues to develop delivery of the dermatology imaging service as it expands

Eligibility/Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
- A range of A Level/GSCE/O Level qualifications with good levels in Maths and English or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
Desirable criteria
- A qualification in a relevant science or photography subject
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in a healthcare setting and / or working with people using customer care skills and compassion
- Working as a member of a team

- Experience within an Dermatology setting
- Experience within a photography/imaging setting
- Knowledge of dermatology imaging equipment
