We are looking for you, to be (Doncaster and North Lincolnshire's) our Peer Support Co-ordinator for Mental Health ! As an organisation we are committed to embedding peer-led recovery focused services.
You would be responsible for the support and co-ordinator of peer support workers within RDaSH across Community Mental Health programmes (services) of North Lincolnshire and Doncaster, to work with our communities, their families/carers/significant others during their recovery journey.
Main duties of the job
The coordinator role will facilitate the delivery of peer support workers by guiding, coordinating, and collecting data on the interventions that our Peer Support Workers are implementing with people who access our services and carers. The Peer Support Coordinator will use the collected data to develop insights from partnership working to improve personalised care plans.
You will be responsible for the day to day functioning of peer support services, working towards supporting these roles to develop or expand competencies within the peer support competency framework, as well as supporting integration within the teams they work in.
You will be working across several voluntary sector partners who will host the peer support roles with their organisations that you will supervise.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Completion of accredited LXP/PSW training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of working at a similar level in this specialist area.
- Significant experience in a patient experience, engagement or volunteer management role
- Experience of setting up and implementing systems, processes and procedures.
Desirable criteria
- Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent professional experience
- Lived experience of mental health challenges or caring for someone who has accessed mental health services.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and Understanding of Voluntary Services supporting carers and/or people with mental health challenges
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the Trust including awareness of values & priorities
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
