Peer Support Co-ordinator – Mental Health Services

NHS AfC: Band 6

Job overview

Are you a member of the community who has lived experience and wants to use this to support Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust to improve our services ?

Are you passionate about peer support and have skills in co-ordinating, motivating and leading others ?

We are looking for you, to be (Doncaster and North Lincolnshire's) our Peer Support Co-ordinator for Mental Health !  As an organisation we are committed to embedding peer-led recovery focused services.

You would be responsible for the support and co-ordinator of peer support workers within RDaSH across Community Mental Health programmes (services) of North Lincolnshire and Doncaster, to work with our communities, their families/carers/significant others during their recovery journey.

Main duties of the job

The coordinator role will facilitate the delivery of peer support workers by guiding, coordinating, and collecting data on the interventions that our Peer Support Workers are implementing with people who access our services and carers.  The Peer Support Coordinator will use the collected data to develop insights from partnership working to improve personalised care plans.

You will be responsible for the day to day functioning of peer support services, working towards supporting these roles to develop or expand competencies within the peer support competency framework, as well as supporting integration within the teams they work in.

You will be working across several voluntary sector partners who will host the peer support roles with their organisations that you will supervise.
