Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team at Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Trust based at Tickhill Road Hospital, with an ability to work agile, including some home working.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an excellent communicator and team player who can provide comprehensive administration and clerical support to a team of HR Partners and HR Advisors.

The current agenda is varied and fast paced, you will be required to support with dealing with queries from employees, managers and staff side representatives, managing the AskHR inbox, taking minutes and call handling duties. 

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be well organised and be able to prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to expand their HR experience, in providing a high level of customer service and for someone looking to take the next step in their career in a supportive and friendly team environment. 

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in an HR related field (Certificate in Personnel Practice). We are keen to support any development and professional qualifications. The ideal candidate would be supported via an apprenticeship to complete their Level 3 CIPD qualification if they have not done so already/working towards.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • RSA stage II typing/word processing or equivalent
  • Level 3 qualification in an HR related field (e.g. Certificate in Personnel Practice)

Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment with the ability to demonstrate multi-tasking, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills – accuracy in relaying messages, polite, approachable manner
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience or other large public sector organisation would be an advantage
