An exciting opportunity is available to join our experienced  Infection Prevention & Control Team at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.  

Working under the supervision and guidance of the Infection Prevention and Control Lead Nurse, provide a comprehensive administrative service to the PLACE based Infection Prevention and Control Team which includes the Acute Trust and community services.

The successful candidate will be expected to have  a willingness to learn, an ability to respond to administrative requests from all members of the team.   They must have the ability work autonomously managing their workload, answering the telephone and working with Trust IT systems as required. Good all round office and keyboard skills are required.  If you self-motivated with a kind and compassionate approach then this post is for you. 

 

Main duties of the job

This is a busy and varied role, which requires the post holder to have a flexible approach and a calm, professional manner. This role will encompass administration duties, use of IT systems, answering telephone calls and emails as well as managing electronic diaries.

The post holder will be required to support the administrative function across the Infection Prevention and Control service, to provide a good quality, timely service.

Essential criteria
  • • Proven experience of working in a secretarial/administrative capacity
  • • High quality customer service skills
  • • Experience of working within an office environment
  • • Previous NHS experience
Desirable criteria
  • • Experience of working within the specialty of infection prevention and control
  • • Experience of working with clinical teams

Qualifications/Training

Essential criteria
  • • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent qualification or relevant experience (including English and Maths)
  • • Educated to A Level or NVQ3 standard or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
