This is an interesting role where no two days are ever the same. You will be highly organised, have an eye for detail, be professional in your approach and keen to learn. This role offers the chance to work closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Team, and to further develop your management capabilities, key skills, knowledge, and experience in corporate governance. Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive and customer focussed administrative support service to the Trust Board Office, for example;
· prioritisation of work in accordance with executives’ and Non-executive director needs, including trust chair and CEO diary and email management.
· All aspects of meeting administration at board, Council of Governors and committee level
· drafting reports and briefing papers
· production of Board-level minutes and action notes, and for all Board committees and governor led committees
· action point / action plan tracking, including chasing up actions and dead lines as required
· completing data returns and the collation of documentation (i.e. appraisal data, meeting attendance etc)
· development and maintenance of a variety of software products to support the smooth running of Trust governance processes
· distribution of internal and external documents and briefings as required
· update appropriate pages of the trust website as required.
· Providing cross cover arrangements for the team for annual leave and sickness as the business needs require.

Essential criteria
- Further education level office manage mentor or equivalent qualification/relevant experience.
- Advanced level use of IT systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of the roles and relationships between Governors, Non-Executive Directors and Directors.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Proactive diary and email management and forward planning of workloads.
- General knowledge of corporate governance systems and procedures
- Workload prioritisation and planning to ensure an efficient, high quality, customer-focussed service
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in a complex environment with significant regulatory/statutory control.
