This is a fixed term post for 12 months and could be a secondment opportunity provided line management agreement has been sought before applying.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and dynamic Nurse with a strong focus on Training and Education to take on the role of Band 6 Clinical Skills Educator, aligned to the Clinical Skills Service within the wider Clinical Education Team.
Working closely with the Band 7 Clinical Skills & ReST Lead, the successful candidate will support with the planning and delivery of skills training, aligned to the role specific requirements for all colleagues at DBTH.
You will need to be a Registered Nurse with significant clinical acute care experience and hold a level 6 degree qualification or evidence of working towards. You must be able to demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You should also have experience of supporting learners and hold a current mentorship qualification.

Main duties of the job
To work with the Clinical Skills & ReST Lead (CSRL) under the guidance of the Clinical Education Manager (CEM), to provide high quality clinical skills related education and training for all healthcare colleagues working within the Trust and wider integrated care services . This role focusses on the delivery of clinical skills training but in specific circumstances includes the delivery of high fidelity simulation training. The post holder will assist in the development and implementation of a core curriculum of clinical skills training and assessment to ensure a skilled workforce and contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary induction/update programmes.
Provide advice, guidance and support to healthcare colleagues regarding clinical skills training issues.
Support the CSRL in the planning and delivery of clinical skills education for trust colleagues to meet local, regional and national requirements.
To make a collective contribution to the Training and Education Department function.
Participate in networking events to ensure opportunities to promote clinical skills across the region, and also information is disseminated and lessons are learnt regarding all aspects of clinical skills education and implementation.
The Clinical Skills Educator (CSE) will be based across Clinical Skills at Doncaster Royal Infirmary (DRI), Bassetlaw District General Hospital (BDGH) and Mexborough Montagu Hospital (MMH).
