Job overview
We're looking for a Booking Clerk to join our busy 2ww Booking Department for Breast and Urology for maternity leave cover.
You will be based at our 2ww Booking office at DRI.
Please note this is a non patient facing role
The department is open 5 days a week and the role will include working Monday - Friday between 9am - 5 pm not including Bank Holidays or weekends .
The post holder will work actioning booking appointments and taking calls from patients to negotiate new dates/times .
Understanding/ utilising multiple reports to ensure clinical sessions are accurately booked .
Printing/scanning referrals for clinical triage through the E- Referral system .
Processing/actioning responses from text messages with Doctor Dr online system and email request changes .
Main duties of the job
Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective Booking service within Patient Services Admin
Provide administrative service support to facilitate the patient pathway
Work flexibly to provide a booking service, processing of referrals and undertaking a range of general admin tasks
Build and maintain close working relationships across the clinical administrative teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
Ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and E-referral and other systems; and via the use of multiple reports book outpatient appointments in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.
